The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
